As a huge fan of the Wings of Fire series, I can confidently say that The Hidden Kingdom is an essential installment in the series. While each book in the series is unique and captivating in its own way, The Hidden Kingdom offers something truly special that sets it apart from the rest.
First and foremost, this book introduces us to a new tribe – the RainWings. Up until this point, we have only been exposed to five of the seven dragon tribes. The addition of the RainWings not only expands our knowledge and understanding of Pyrrhia, but also adds diversity to the characters and their abilities.
Furthermore, The Hidden Kingdom delves deeper into the politics and history of Pyrrhia. We learn about Queen Glory’s struggle to prove herself as a worthy ruler and her attempts to unite all seven tribes against a common enemy.
